NEW CURRICULUM INTRODUCES COSMOLOGY
AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LEVEL
A new enrichment curriculum for elementary school called
"Origins in the Universe" has been developed by Gaye Gronlund
(Early Education Consultant) and Adrian Melott (physicist, in
cosmology). It seeks to fill the gap in early education about origins.
The emphasis is on the Big Bang cosmology and the formation of
planets. Evolution of life is present in the narrative to connect it to
people. The packet contains two picture books, along with classroom
exercises and experiments appropriate to grades 1-3 and 4-5. For more
information on the curriculum, email gayegronlund@yahoo.com
or telephone Adrian Melott at 785-749-0670, or Gaye Gronlund
at 317-823-8860.
